Once you've seen the mockup and want it real, we agree a scope and a fixed price against it. Half up front, half on delivery. No hourly billing, so a slow week is my problem rather than your invoice.

Updates, monitoring, and small changes on a monthly retainer. Quoted with the project, and genuinely optional — I'd rather hand you something that doesn't need me than sell you a subscription that says it does.
Questions
- Why is the first step free?
- Because describing software is hard and looking at it is easy. A mockup tells you more in ten seconds than an estimate does in three pages, and it lets us both find out whether this is a good fit before anyone is committed. It also means I only quote things I actually understand.
- What does the $1,500 minimum cover?
- It is the floor for taking on a project at all, not a package. A small marketing site with a few pages and a contact form lands near it; anything with logins, payments, or a database goes up from there. You get the real number in writing before you agree to anything.
- Who owns the code when it's done?
- You do, in full, once the final payment clears. That includes the repository, the design files, and anything else produced for the project. I keep the right to show the work in a portfolio unless we agree otherwise in writing.
- Do you host it for me?
- No, and that's deliberate. Your domain and your hosting go in your name, on your account, paid by you at cost. If you ever want to work with someone else, nothing breaks and nothing is held hostage. I'll set all of it up with you and walk you through each screen.
- What if I don't like the mockup?
- Then you say so and we're done, at no cost. That's the point of doing it before money changes hands. If it's close but wrong, tell me what's wrong — one round of changes at that stage is still free.
- How long does it take?
- You'll usually hear back on an idea within a few days. Builds depend entirely on scope, and I'll give you a real date with the quote rather than an optimistic one. I take on a small number of projects at a time specifically so those dates hold.
- Is my idea confidential?
- Not automatically, and the terms say so plainly. Ideas sent through the form aren't treated as confidential, and I may build similar things for other people — otherwise I couldn't work in this industry at all. If your project genuinely needs an NDA, say so before you send details and we'll sign one first.
